Alright. It's been a while eh. But i haven't forgotten.
My dog got attacked by a
pitbull the other week, actually it was about 2 weeks ago. I wasn't there, but
im not sure weather
im glad about that or not... My mam told me when she came home,
i'd been having a sleep in, so obviously i
didnt know anything about it
untill it was all over and done with. She was going to my aunties to collect her dog, she works all day so we sometimes bring her dog to our house just so it wont be on its own all day. She only lives a 10 minute walk away so its all good.
So what happened was my mam was just walking with our dog Roxy on the way to my aunties, just through normal residential streets, when this big
pitbull just ran out from nowhere, didn't bark, or growl or anything, just ran right for
roxy (who's only about the size of a small sheepdog), and clamped onto her side and
wouldnt let go, my mam was shouting for help,
roxy was squealing in pain crying, there was a fair few people around, and luckily there was a community support officer there at just about the same time, but nobody could get the dog off, my mam said she was punching it in the head! And kicking it trying to get it off, there was a woman from the corner shop right near where it happened, she was hitting it over the head with a broom handle.
In the end this guy took the broom handle off her, slid it under the dogs throat and managed to grapple it off that way. The shop people took them (my mam and dog) into the corner shop while they were waiting for the police to come which was proper
bo of them i thought.
Then the police came and took them straight to the vets. They
havent stitched her up yet, because it was a dog bite and
there'll be loads of i dunno, grubby dog germs in it, and if they'd
sitched it up before now it'd have just sewn the infection in and it'd have made it even worse. So she's on two lots of tablets
untill Tuesday when we take her to finally get her stitches.
Im a bit worried about it, just cause i dunno, being paranoid i guess. But
im glad she's finally getting them in, cause the first 4 or 5 days after it happened, she kept dripping blood all over. She's got a pretty big gaping hole in the side of her, and i think a couple of just tiny ones, but the big one is nasty, you can see right into her insides, but luckily it
didnt pierce the abdomen wall.
She currently looks like this - complete with bald patch where they shaved her -
(yes that is blood on the floor)
Anyway so yeah, the craic is the other dog belonged to this guy called nasser. He wont sign the dog over to the police to have it put down, so it has to go to court. My mam's gonna have to go and testify and stuff. It took a while for me to get angry about it, i was just in shock at first, and really worried for Roxy, i didnt really have chance to think about it, but now i have, im just really angry, i mean what a complete fucking cunt. I hope someone beats the absolute shit out of him.
His dog had attacked another dog just a few weeks before ours, but he said to the other people that he'd pay their vets bills if they dropped the charges, and, like dickheads, they agreed. Apparently it'd gone for a police horse before as well. A fucking police horse! I mean they're about the size of a two storey house.
Its a shame about his dog though, cause its only like that cause he's had it sort of trained to be like a fighting dog, i cant help thinking that if it'd gone to a nice family and been raised differently, that it'd be a perfectly non violent pet. Urgh just i cant express in words how much of a complete prick this guy is, just having a dog like that as some sort of status symbol. I bet he's got a tiny cock. It could attack a person next, nevermind another animal, maybe a kid, there's a school just around the corner. But yeah, obviously he doesnt give a shit.
I feel really sorry for Roxy though, she just looked so sorry for herself when i first came down stairs and seen her after the attack, and she just sort of gave a tiny wag of her tail when she seen me. But she didnt move off the sofa all day afterwards. Anyway, she's better now, she even had a bit of a play with one of her toys yesterday but she's still not 100%. Hopefully she'll be ok having her operation and stuff.
Righty, that is all.
Coming up next time, sunflowers, chilli plants and pepper plants.
